November 2022 marks a milestone birthday for us at French Country Collections.
Our story was born 35 years ago, with a vision to decorate homes with pieces that you just couldn’t otherwise find. We teamed up with talented retailers and designers across Australia & New Zealand, who share our love of timeless homewares. We are very thankful for the partnerships we have built over the years that have enabled our brand to flourish, and the reason French Country Collections can be found in homes across the country.

Q: What makes you choose French Country for your stores?
A: I have been purchasing French Country Collection pieces for over 20 years. I love the classic contemporary designs that you offer in Furniture, decor, entertaining, and gift items.
Q: Do you have a favourite product or product range from French Country? If so, why?
A: I find your nickel lamp bases are an ageless and easy-to-place item and your pewter ware Jugs, glass canister, and photo frames. Again for their classic style and beauty.
Q: Tell us a little more about the look and feel of your stores.
A: Our lifestyle stores are designed in an experiential way. Our main store is set up like a home with a series of rooms, so our Customers can envisage how pieces could look in their own homes. We appeal to all the senses and our focus is on the little details and layers that create an emotional connection to a space. Our aim is to help our Customers create homes they love, no matter what the style. We source pieces from all over the world, mixing antique and contemporary furniture and decor pieces along with scents, fashion, and jewellery. Our motto is The Beauty is in the Detail.
Q: What does the future look like for your stores and brand?
We are soon to open a third store that will be very European and more masculine in style. Dark, moody and evocative with many pieces sourced from Europe which contrasts with our fresher Main store. Our Bowral store will continue to focus on Alfresco living. We put a lot of effort into our content creation of fortnightly YouTube Styling Videos and Instagram Reels that share our passion for decorating and knowledge of styling. We love our online community and hope to offer more in-depth courses in this area over the next year. We look forward to more training for our Staff across Customer Service and Product knowledge and continue to travel to find unique pieces to mix in with our favourite suppliers such as French Country Collections!
